Termite Inspections
It is always important to obtain a termite inspection during the home inspection process. Most home inspectors (myself included) are not as familiar with termite activity and behavior as a trained pest control professional. For this reason Professional Home Inspections Inc. does not perform termite inspections. We can, however, schedule a termite inspection with Brite Pest Control, a local company we are proud to work closely with, to take place at the same time as the building inspection. However we do not wish to impose on our clients wishes. If you have someone else in mind to do your termite inspection feel free to let our representative know when you schedule your appointment.
Termites
Termites are wood destroying insects which often attack the wooden structure of homes and can do serious and significant damage. Often this damage is made worse by the fact that many people are unaware of the infestation problem for years. A trained professional pest control operator knows what to look for and where to look to discover any infestation concerns and also knows the best methods of treating for them for every particular instance.
Termites and ants are very different creatures and many folks do not know how to tell the difference. Both ants and termites sometimes swarm resulting in many flying insects being present in or near a structure.
